The English bulldog, with its squat, face, enormous under bite and bulging eyes — has surged in popularity in recent years. But the very traits that make them lovable are causing the dogs to suffer chronic health problems. The British Kennel Club has revised its standards for the breed. But American enthusiasts, at least for now, have no such plans.
